Only days after Nancy Pelosi discourages enforcement of federal laws, United States Attorney General, Eric Holder stated a change on enforcement of federal marijuana laws. Saying federal agents will target marijuana distributors only when they violate both federal and state law.

This sounds like in states with medical marijuana laws, the dealers with state licenses to distribute medical marijuana will no longer be prosecuted in federal court.

It also sounds like the federal government will no longer prosecute users of the illegal drug for personal use.

I would love to hear comments from our state elected officials. Heck, I would even love to hear comments from our state AG office, local sheriff and police departments on this issue.

Will our state seek legistlation to approve and license medical marijuana distribution? It could be a source for tax revenues.
