  • We need to be honest our current state government agency primary function is to issue checks, not find jobs.

    The unemployment system needs reforming, IF benefits are going to be mandated by Washington for longer than the traditional 26 weeks, Washington should pick up the entire bill.

    Also, any unemployed individual after 36 weeks should be required to expand their search to positions outside the state.

    Also, those on unemployment should be automaticly placed with state wide public employment placement agencies. The state will pay agencies that place an unemployed worker a fee equal to the workers unemployment benefits for one month.

    Any job offer of a like-kind position or a position that meets the highest skill/education level of unemployed worker ends the payment of benefits. Any agency failing to report such job offers will be fined $3,000.
