  • A watered down compromise will be passed the night before the Debt

Ceiling is approached and the can will kicked down the road, again,

just as they have done many times in the past. To be followed by

the Senators giving prepared sound bites to their media lap dogs,

who afterwards, interview the Senate lobbyists and Pacs, on what a

great job they did. Pathetic, in my opinion.

    God help us all.

  • You are on the right track, Alton. The California constitution was amended by resolution to provide that the legislators' pay would be suspended effective the first day of each fiscal year in which a budget was not in place, and their pay would not resume until a budget was passed and enacted. This year, for the first time in at least ten years, there was a budget passed and enacted on time. If it works in La-La Land, it should work in Washington, DC.

After all, they are both equally corrupt.
