  • ALTON: This reminds me of a storm in 1962. Our US Forest Service bunkhouse full of summer hands, mostly forestry students, was located about half way between Idaho City and Lowman, Idaho at elevation 5400 feet. One crack of thunder sounded like lightning had hit something just outside. How did all of us levitate off our bunks?
