Dancing and singing for good causes

Friday and Saturday night the 65th State Convention of Catholic War Veterans features dances at the CWV Hall, 1007 South Main St.. Friday's dance starts at 8 p.m. and features the Bandalero Band. Cost is $5. Saturday's dance begins at 9 a.m. with the Majestic's. Cost is $8. On Sunday, the Victoria Community Center, 2905 E. North St., will be the scene for an 11-band show. A portion of the proceeds from the $5 admission fee will benefit the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent. So get off the couch and put on your dancing shoes for a good cause.
