'Tis the season

As the last weekend before Christmas approaches, there are so many opportunities to make a difference in your community -- toy drives, monetary donations, volunteer.

Heck, just be nice to someone. It's usually totally unexpected and almost always appreciated.

I like the Pay If Forward theory...hmmm....a lot like the Golden Rule. Do unto to others as you would have them do unto you.

Those are words we can live by not only during the holiday season but all of our lives.

REMEMBER: The 20th annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing is Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Victoria Community Center. It's not just food, but games for the kids and entertainment, too. Rumor has it that the "big fella" might also make an appearance.
