Spring seems to bring out a rash of fund raising efforts and this weekend is no exception. Saturday's events include the 2nd annual Spring Fling BBQ and Chili cook-off at Colet Inn Bar and Grill. The event helps out local charities and this year the live auction also benefits Jim Scribellito, owner of Shady Oaks Speedway in Goliad who was injured in a crash at the track last August. Looking ahead to April, the calendar is full.
