You can be a hero

You can be a hero without leaping over tall buildings in a single bound or putting your life on the line to save others. The annual Heroes Campaign for the American Red Cross is underway and becoming a hero is simple. Pledge to raise $1,000. Get your friends, co-workers, bridge club, church group or whoever together and find a way to come up with $1,000 for the Crossroads Chapter of the Red Cross. Use your imagination to raise the funds -- a 5k run/walk was held Saturday. Others are holding a variety of other fundraisers. The Red Cross offers so many beneficial services in Victoria and the surrounding counties and this campaign is crucial to maintaining those services. So, be a hero. Get your friends together and raise that $1,000. It's easier than leaping a tall building.
