The reason this pisses me off is that this Bill honoring Blair Holt isn’t going to hurt the right people. Do you really think the 16 year old gang member that shot him is going to get a license for a gun? No, he’s going to get it illegally and this bill only screws the rest of the world!

Once these guns are stolen and sold on the black market, tracing them to their original owner is pointless!!!! I want my right to bear arms without government interference.

HR45 Gun Owners Watch Out

In November, our lying president promised he was not going after our Second Amendment rights. This bill was introduced on Feb. 24. This bill will become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.

The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage, http://www.senate.gov/ You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text

Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply. It has started.

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House... This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the governmentis trying to fly it under the radar. To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information. Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: - It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver's License -You supply your Social Security # - You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing - Each update change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 Failure to do so youautomatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. - There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to childrenand fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have nodefense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it. This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not. If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against me. HR 45 only makes me/us less safe. http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.45 http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/show http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-45

Whether you support the Right to Bear Arms or not. YOUR rights are next. Government is taking away our right to choose, as well as the right to defend ourselves from intruders.

  • jmoore, that is true. Everybody complains about America, our so called "president" appoligizes to other countries for America...but without us, most of those countries would be speaking German. My guns are my guns, if I'm not robbing or killing what buisness is it of the goverments what I own. They get all that information everytime you buy a handgun when they run your background check. The best statement Ive ever heard is...."This is America, if you don't love it, leave it"

  • A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S. , English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies. At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of Officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English. He then asked, 'Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?'

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, 'Maybe it's because the Brit's, Canadians, Aussie's and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German.' -Author Unknown-

  • I didn't say all that, I'm just saying in the goverments eyes it's easier to deal with and unarmed citizen than an armed one. They are trying to pass this bill off as something to stop what happened to Mr. Brady himself. But, it won't stop it. They take our guns, they find their way back on the streets and some little thug buys it and then what? Its not stopping the guns, just the honest people who own them. Makes it easier for the crooks I guess, since most politicians are crooks themselves. lol

  • See, the brown boots are coming. We are becoming Germany like Hitler did.

  • My favorite saying...and I don't know who it came from...says, a dictator likes unarmed citizens

  • jmoore...The Second Amendment was placed in the Constitution in case the government ever forgets about the others. It has been said, and I believe it with all my heart, that an armed man is a citizen while an unarmed man is a subject. I believe it was Thomas Jefferson who said that those who would hammer their arms into plows will plow for those who don't. This nation was founded by brave men who used their privately owned firearms and some rudimentary training to defeat the army of the most powerful nation in the world at the time. It is refreshing to read posts from others who understand that the private ownership of firearms is vital to the continuation of a free nation. Keep up the good work and thank you.

  • 'When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe. When the democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.'No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
'The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
    -Thomas Jefferson

  • WWW, thanks, after reading the bill on GovTrack, your right.....The original site it came from did have that in there. So there its fixed, I removed that section of the blog, but that still doesn't stop the rest of it from being fact.

  • "Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprintsand a tax of $50 per gun."

No, it won't. Check it out on Snopes. Nobody has ever accused me of being a fan of the administration in office, but THIS particular charge is false.

  • And again, here is the 2nd amendment....

    "The Second Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, SHALL NOT be infringed"

    August 26, 2009 at 11:32 a.m.

  • This is one thing I can't stand. I take my right to bare arms very seriously. I collect guns, I love to hunt and what gets me is they wont even let you reload your own shells. They tried to take our guns once before but when that didn't work, they taxed the hell out of the ammo. I don't have a problem with the background checks, that's not a problem, but I'll be damned if I give up my 2nd amendment. Like the old saying goes, they can have my gun when they pry it out of my cold, dead hand!

  • I keep mine clean.
This backstabbing we get from our leaders ticks me off as well! We are being led far from "WE THE PEOPLE" and into "we the fodder". You keep spreading the truth!

  • Socialism creeps in slowly like a lamb, not like a lion. As long as Obama and his minions remain in power, he will continue to move us that direction, whether by design or ignorance.

    August 14, 2009 at 5:23 p.m.

  • You are right on here. This proposed legislation establishes the system to eventually register all firearms.
Obamacare will help secure support by elimination of private unsurers, eventual employment of all healthcare employees, SEIU unionization of healthcare employees creating a huge voter block to further Mr. Obama's vision.
