I don't follow oil prices, so cannot say whether gas is high or low, but I do see other towns and can tell we are high.
I had a road trip to Austin and usually the smaller towns have higher gas. Except Cuero was cheaper, Luling was cheaper, Lockhart was cheaper... I am even told Port Lavaca is big time cheap, but haven't gone there. Is there a reason why a decent sized city is being outdone on gas prices by small towns?

I drove to Victoria from Dallas for Christmas and noticed it was higher in Victoria than anywhere else I saw on the drive down, even Dallas.
December 29, 2009 at 8:36 a.m.Is a Buc-cees coming to Victoria, or is that someone just talking? Oh please tell me we are getting one and I would be so excited . I love that place.
December 29, 2009 at 12:14 a.m.What difference does it make if Mr. Thomas and Mr. New live in mansions or not? This really has nothing to do with the story, does it? Both of these gentlemen run successful, profitable businesses and both support many charitable entities in Victoria and the surrounding towns. No one likes to pay too much for anything, but if you think there is a problem with unfair gas prices in Victoria then maybe you should contact the Texas Attorney General and let them get to the bottom of it. If there is something to it, then let the chips fall where they may.
