In about a month, or exactly a month plus or minus a day or two, Victoria will be home to another.
I know packing, scheduling, and saying goodbyes will be difficult. The stress of moving is hardly ever fun times; but know that the friends of Victoria welcome you to your new community.
May in Victoria will a wonderful month with plenty of extracurriculars here and close by. So that you can start your plans, I will list a few of the May days to watch for:
Saturday, May 7th: Cinco De Mayo Fiesta and Bike Run at Fair Grounds in Goliad
Saturday, May 7th: 2nd Annual TEX-MEX Cinco De Mayo Fiesta BBQ & Salsa Cookoff at LuRaq’s
Saturday, May 14th: Cotton Patch Party with live music by Jerry James
Friday, May 20th: Jack Williams at the Rear Window Listening Room in Ganado
Saturday, May 21st: Victoria Market Days in Riverside Park
Saturday, May 28-29th: The 15 annual Rockport Festival of Wine & Food at the Texas Maritime Museum Grounds
All these events I found on the Calendar of Events on the Advocate website. Given the centrality of the website, I highly encourage to organizations to list their events so that Victoria can known what is going on and can participate in the fun!
So with a few weeks to go, enjoy Yankee land and the cold, and get ready for the Southern fun and the sun!
