Ohms is the measurement for electrical resistance. The resistance shown in Tampa, Florida and all the rest of the rowdy town hall meetings around the country to the fascist dictator in the Whitehouse will only increase!
I also find it interesting that event organizers tried to limit attendees to supporters of Obamacare! Kind of like the townhall meetings where supporters of George W. Bush tried to fish for favorable questions to make him look good! I thought we were promised "change?"
Health Care Town Hall Turns Violent in Tampa A town hall meeting to discuss President Obama's health care reform descended into shouting and violence in a Tampa, Fla., suburb Thursday as angry opponents clashed with event organizers.

Amateur video captures two men in an altercation as a crowd shouts "You work for us!" and "Hear our voice!" at the entrance to a health care town hall meeting in Ybor City, Fla.
A town hall meeting to discuss President Obama's health care reform descended into shouting and violence in a Tampa, Fla., suburb Thursday as angry opponents clashed with event organizers.
Close to 1,500 people came to Ybor City to attend the session on health care and insurance reform featuring Democratic State Rep. Betty Reed and U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor before the event exploded into a near riot.
According to local media reports, the larger-than-expected crowd gathered outside the Hillsborough County Children's Board building, where several hundred people, mostly in opposition to government health care, began to loudly chant and scuffle with organizers posted at doorways after the auditorium filled to capacity.
A freelance videographer was roughed up in an altercation, which damaged his camera equipment and glasses, and at least one man was treated for minor injuries after a scuffle left his shirt partially torn from his body.
"That's the most violent anyone has been towards me," Mark Bishop told WTSP-TV. "It was surprising to say the least."
Video shot outside the auditorium showed several people holding signs and posters, banging on doors and windows, while others argued face-to-face and were seen screaming at one another in the parking lot as police looked on.
Inside, Democratic lawmakers had a difficult time delivering their opening remarks, as they were met with shouts of "You work for us!'' "Tyranny! tyranny! tyranny!'' and "Read the bill!" the Tampa Tribune reported.
As tensions rose further, Rep. Castor was escorted out of the town hall by police after Reed encouraged her to leave.
"They're hiding from their constituents. She works for us and needs to listen,'' Karen Jaroch, a homemaker and organizer for the 9-12 Project told the Tribune.
"We said all along our role was to come and give an update on the bill in Congress. That's what Betty Reed asked us to do ... and that's what we did," Castor spokeswoman Ellen Gedalius was quoted as saying.
Opponents said liberal organizers had attempted to allow early admission to those who were seen as favorable to health care plans making their way through Congress, but Reed denied the accusations, saying those brought in were organizers helping to set up the town hall.
"I represent a number of people who ask questions about what's going on with health care, so I thought it would be good to put on a meeting and have the congresswoman come in and give an update," Reed told the Tribune. "When you get to the point of possible violence, you've gone over the edge."
Top White House officials counseled Democratic senators Thursday on coping with disruptions at public events on health care this summer, officials said, and promised the party and allies would respond with twice the force if any individual lawmaker is criticized in television advertising.
In the week since the House began its break, several town hall-style meetings have been disrupted by noisy demonstrators. These episodes have drawn widespread media attention, and Republicans have seized on them as well as polls showing a decline in support for President Obama and his agenda as evidence that public support is lacking for his signature legislation.
About 20 protesters gathered in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Thursday to let Democratic Rep. Scott Murphy know they oppose the health care plans in Washington. They carried signs saying: "Obamacare Seniors beware! Rationing is here," and "If socialized medicine is best ... why didn't Ted Kennedy go to Canada?" Motorists honked as they drove by.
So far, three House committees have approved health care legislation, and a measure is expected on the floor this fall. One committee has acted, and a bipartisan group of senators on the Finance Committee has been at work for weeks trying to draft a compromise plan.
White House Vows to Defend Democrats on Health Reform, Will 'Punch Back Twice as Hard'
Hmmm! I'll have to read that story! Mr. Obama says he will strike back? At who? At the majority of Americans, of both parties, that oppose his dictatorship? Is it any wonder that "Democrats against Obama" has an ever increasing membership!

sandwichh & gyroscope,
Here's one of many ways we can use their system against them:

Unruly, the congressional health care package is the same one every federal employee gets. Furthermore, it is a private plan, actually a pool of private plans.
August 7, 2009 at 3:47 p.m.It is about time the conservative base gets of their BUTTS and start protesting. The Left wing radical nuts are destroying this country. There is so much damage done, I just don’t think we get it back where it needs to be. The left just can’t stand it, that the right is protesting.
Someone made a comment about Cindy Moron and a free speech zone around Bush, let me tell you this, Obama does have one, that zone is 10 miles in every direction and a no fly zone. That ole boy is protected better than any other President in the history this country.
August 7, 2009 at 12:36 p.m.gyroscope,...
The two party system is what's killing us. But it is locked in so we have to work from within it to change it I am afraid.
Unruly,...
Lobbyists....HUGE problem. Much larger than people understand. Pay is good. Harry Reid's sons are lobbyist. One is paid to lobby....Harry Reid.
August 7, 2009 at 12:34 p.m.sandwichh,
I've experience private, active duty care, VA care, and medicare. Each has its strengths & weaknesses. My Dad got a cortizone shot recently. His doctor billed Medicare $90 for it. That's ridiculous. I don't think the doc needs to "make up" any money for that. Everything is such a mess. Insurance companies only care about making money, so much so they go out of their way to deny care. Their lobbyists are so powerful it's scary. I think the only way to fix anything is to limit terms on Congress. That way the lobbyists lose their sway in determining elections. Then our politicians can concentrate on solving problems rather than lining up backers to get re-elected.
August 7, 2009 at 11:26 a.m."His health care is paid for by the US govt. I guess that means US socialized medicine is better than Canada's socialized medicine"
I can cut and paste too.
We WILL NOT get his health care if this social program is past. The Congress was already asked will they take the same health care as in this package and they said NO!!!! And he can pay for his own care without insurance so he and others like him don't care if the tax payer has to pay for it. His money is in a trust fund.
We will get what the VA dishes out. If you have not had to deal with it you should. I had to deal with it with my dad. I have a friend who has to deal with it with his dad now.
Now, not all is bad. The treatment my brother got was much better than my dad got. Of course my brother was retired military and he had a very bad, immediate need problem which I was told both my brothers situations made a difference.
Doctors make up the difference from Medicare and Medicaid with people with insurance. But when people change status and have no private insurance to make up the diffence, which is in the bill as it stands now, where are they going to get the money then?
Fix the problem with those that cannot get insurance, if they chose not to get it that is their fault, and fix Medicare without killing the elderly. Leave the rest alone.
August 7, 2009 at 11:09 a.m.I can copy and paste too.
Many of the hundreds of protesters said that they had been inspired by a conservative activist group promoted by Fox News host Glenn Beck and some received emails from the county Republican party, according to the St. Petersburg Times:
... many of them saying they had been spurred on through the Tampa 912 activist group promoted by conservative radio and television personality Glenn Beck. Others had received e-mails from the Hillsborough Republican party that urged people to speak out against the plan and offered talking points to challenge supporters.
My own words now...
Do you really think this kind of insanity helps? Kenneth I have to lump you in with Glenn Beck and his ilk using inflammatory languague to incite rather than encourage a meaningful dialogue. You have referred to the President as a dictator, liar, black baby killer, and compared him to Lucifer.
This protester's sign particularly make me laugh. "If socialized medicine is best ... why didn't Ted Kennedy go to Canada?" Ted Kennedy is a US Senator. His health care is paid for by the US govt. I guess that means US socialized medicine is better than Canada's socialized medicine.
August 7, 2009 at 10:56 a.m.Ken,
I hope this doesn’t happen, but we maybe on a path to repeat history in a very bad way. It could be Lincoln’s history about to be repeated.
Back thirty years or so ago on the Johnny Carson show he had a guest on that was a campaign advisor for who I can’t remember, he stated with enough money you could elect a monkey as president. Well money bought this past election without a doubt. The 64,000,000 that voted for this President had little or no knowledge of, why, they were voting for this man. They just wanted Bush gone plan and simple.
Obama got lucky as if he had won the lottery. A community organizer is not even remotely related to running anything. This man has never run a business of any kind. The only thing he has done is be a voice to a handful of folks that has done nothing but demand this & that. He has never got his hands dirty except for dirty politics. He was & is very deep rooted into ACORN which is one of the most corrupt originations in this country. When he was elected to the Illinois legislature, he became really wired to some corrupt political folks.. I just can not understand why 64,000,000 people could be so stupid.
August 7, 2009 at 10:55 a.m.This is what the mob was doing inside that room. It was standing room only. I guess if there had been a fire alarm and people were trampled to death that would be okay with you?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbBgjc...
Congress has the Capitol police remove protestors (including Code Pink, et al) that interfere with congressional hearings. The police and fire chief have the authority to limit the number of participants in a public meeting room, even if they can't stop them from disrupting the event. These people weren't there to listen or discuss health care reform rationally. They were there to scream and prevent the meeting from happening. Very undemocratic, not at all patriotic.
August 7, 2009 at 10:06 a.m.That's why I clicked on this. I thought you were doing the electrical historical thing.
You sly devil you. ;)
