My Best friends Salsa is the best I’ve ever had. While I’d love to lay claim on this great dip, she’d never forgive me, and knows the recipes hers for the taking; she created it from scratch.
Trust me when I say, it melts in your mouth. You’ll love it. I haven’t met a person yet who doesn’t offer a compliment after sinking their mouth into it! It’s worth a try and easy to make.

You’ll need: 1 stalk of cilantro 1 jalapeno 1 large white onion 1 jar of diced garlic 1 16oz can of HUNTS diced tomatoes

It gets a little tricky here because I don’t know all the "precise" measurements. Lol. However, it goes something like this:
Pour the whole can of Hunts tomatoes in your food processor, add 2 tbs of garlic, half the jalapeno or a ¼ if you like it milder- and for the love of God---REMOVE ALL the seeds from the jalapeno before you place it in the food processor!!! Next, Chop up 3/4th of the large onion and put it in the processor with half the stalk of cilantro. Mix together and salt HEAVILY!

Next, taste test… Scoop on a chip and eat it! After doing this ADD “what-ever” ingredients you feel may be missing and spice it up a bit. You can always add more cilantro or salt and some like to add more jalapeño to kick it up a notch and make it hotter!

“This is the Best –Best Friend Salsa I’ve ever had and your friends will love it!”

  • We celebrated a birthday party at "Thirsty's" last night. A friend of ours turned “ 50” and I didn't know what to get him, so- I bought this neat jar and filled it with a batch of "Best friend Salsa." Then, I bought a bright-red paper bag, placed the salsa along with a bag of Tortia chips in the bottom of it, and filled it with yellow tissue paper. It looked so festive and it was a hit! What else do you get a great guy friend –WHO’S FIFTY!!! :)

I know the recipe sounds funky but if you'll use the description I listed above...You'll have some d@mn good salsa to dip!!!

Also, someone asked me about the stalk of cilantro… “What did I mean?” FYI: cilantro is sold by the bunch, you should start your dip by placing “Half” the bunch in the food processor. Sorry to be confusing-hope this helps more.
