Here are some sites that offer online courses for free:

MIT Open Courseware Any subject you can imagine with lecture notes, videos...

Free Education Online A list of online courses.

National Repository of Online Courses List of AP, High School, and college level courses. If you are a homeschooled teen who would like to study for an AP course this site might be beneficial.

HippoCampus - Courses on every subject.

Annenberg Media - "Teacher resources and teacher professional development programming across the curriculum" This site has information on many topics for the teacher and the student.

Collection of classics at Bartleby

And don't forget about Sparknotes and Cliffsnotes

These are a few of the resources that homeschoolers and life learners can use to learn.

I, personally, am too lazy to learn via online lectures, notes, and courses. I prefer veggin' out on the couch in front of the History Channel.

Of course you can check out books on anything you want to know about for free at your local library! Google is free too...

It's nice knowing that these sites are there for me if I ever get a wild hare... hair? A rabid rabbit? If I ever want to look like Einstein?
