I have heard from several people already that Terry Puhls (coach of uhv Jaguars) wants to deny access to riverside stadium for the high school baseball teams. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the people of Victoria pay for this stadium? I'm trying to figure out how Mr. Puhls feels entitled to exclusive use and dictatorship of something that doesn't belong to UHV or their team. I have been to many high school games at riverside and seen first hand the time that is put into raking these fields after games to insure things are left in order. In my opinion if Mr. Puhls wants a facility that he can rule over he needs to get UHV to build him one and not try to take control of something that was paid for by the taxpayers. Just my opinion. Maybe someone could enlighten me if I have the wrong information.

  • The Generals games were blasts to go to...even if me and a few friends got kicked out for talking trash to the other team! lol But we appologized and had a blast.

  • You are absolutely INCORRECT, “Troof.” UHV pays RENT to the city for the use of Riverside, bringing the city revenue and plenty of fans who buy popcorn at the park, stay in our local hotels and eat in area restaurants. No one at UHV, including Mr. Puhl, has any influence over other teams that use Riverside; we pay our rent and abide by all stipulations. Coach Puhl and the Jaguars happily work with any and every one and all area teams in support of the sport of baseball. You were misinformed.
