The Advocate's records request on city council members' emails will not be returned today. The city attorney said they are still going through records, and once that is complete, they will determine whether to seek an attorney general's opinion. The good news is he said they have every intention to comply with the request.

May 15 request:

o All electronic correspondence written Monday and Tuesday, May 13 and 14, by Emett Alvarez, Will Armstrong, David Hagan, Tom Halepaska, Paul Polasek, Josephine Soliz and Joe Truman on the city-owned iPad or other city-owned devices. This request intends to include Facebook messages sent on the city-owned iPad or other city-owned devices, personal and work emails sent or received on the city-owned iPad or other city-owned devices, iMessages sent and received on the iPad or other city-owned devices, and any other correspondence made on any other application on the iPad or other city-owned device

o This request also intends to include correspondence received by any member of the city council from Stephen Tyler, Gabriel Soliz, Omar Rachid, Ron Reyna and Clara Ramos on the city-owned iPad or other city-owned devices, as well as any correspondence sent by any member of the city council to Stephen Tyler, Gabriel Soliz, Omar Rachid, Ron Reyna and Clara Ramos on the city-owned iPad or other city-owned devices.


May 20 request:
o The phone records of Emett Alvarez, Will Armstrong, David Hagan, Tom Halepaska, Paul Polasek, Josephine Soliz and Joe Truman from noon Monday, May 13, through 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 14.

o This request is intended to include all calls by or to the seven council members on land lines or cell phones. The information should include the time and duration of each call.

o Emails sent or received to the seven council members relating to city business on any device from noon Monday, May 13, through midnight Tuesday, May 14.
