The sky was ripped open and we fell up thru the clouds. The higher we fell, the colder it got. Soon all our liquids began to boil out of us. Not long after, we began to freeze rapidly. Our eyes exploded and the last thing we saw with them was clouds of sparkling crystals rushing away from us in thinning and expanding roils. The last thing we heard with our ears was the tinkling of billions of shards of ice that used to be parts of our insides. The last things we felt with our skins were the fading impacts of small pieces of frozen ‘us’. Our mummified corpses achieved escape velocity and our souls remained bound within the frozen dendrites of our brain cells. Ruptured axons had burst with the precise amount of swelling to freeze our synapses perfectly in place. We sensed the four standard and familiar dimensions of length, width, depth, and time. We also sensed a few extra abilities. We could now see three-hundred-and –sixty-degrees along all planes. We could see things extremely far away in great detail. We could also see things as small as the parts, of parts, of parts, of parts, of parts, of parts, of parts of atoms. And we could still see that those small parts were made of even smaller parts. We sensed ourselves drifting away from one another, yet we knew that we would always know exactly where each of us was. Many of us wept with incomprehension over what had happened. Many screamed for eons. Many cursed passionately as if that might help. Many waited in silence for the true end to occur. Many never uttered another thought, but, we all knew that none of us had ceased to exist.
