I may not have enough to give you the biggest and best wedding you could ever have, but I have enough to try.

I may not have enough to put that beautiful ring you have your heart set on onto your finger, but I have enough to try.

I may not have enough to put you into a three-bedroom, two-bath, and all walk-in closets house, but I have enough to try.

I may not have enough to do all those things for you that I want to, but I have enough to try.

In my heart, only the best wedding will do. In my heart, no other ring will do. In my heart, no wooden house will do. In my heart, nothing is too much for me to try and do, for you.

You had to get up early this morning. After you returned to bed and fell asleep I had to go to work. You know the 24-hour-call- routine. I took care of a couple of customers in the field and then returned to the office.

An old friend (Joel Lopez) dropped by with a CD from an awesome band called “NONITY”. We listened to it for a while and reminisced on old times and the way that music we once made was still being played at parties in places and going over well even after all these years. I jotted down a new lyric Joel offered and will be working on it soon. He had to leave early to pick up his son and I gave him a copy of “Clouds In Cathedrals”. I’m currently half way thru the NONITY CD and loving it. It’s fresh and very powerful stuff!

All this time just behind my conscious though there is you. As always, never far from any synaptic function whatsoever. The image of you hangs in-mental-flux like a ghostly remembrance. The peace you emote as you sleep is intoxicating and soothes the storms that assault my mind every day. I think I felt you stir even though I was miles away at my desk. You called and that peace I mentioned earlier was concretely evident in your voice.

I’m in a tug-of-war with music and you. Instead of a rope, there is an iron beam between the two sides. Sometimes it’s a war of pulling, and sometimes a war of pushing. Either way, in the end, the muses will win.
