The lessons life teaches us are only as important as we allow them to be to us. Whim lets us flutter thru each day randomly thinking about where our next kernel of wisdom will germinate. Wisdom maintains a firm hallowedness that sports a revolving door. Not all we learn sets well into our mental cement. Life molds each of us with a unique temper. The star dust that we are becomes that which we struggle to be for ourselves and those we interact with on every level. As the atoms of our souls firm up the eventual matrix never evolves exactly how we want it to, no matter what we do.

With angels on one shoulder and devils on the other we exist between extremes of thought. The crux of our every day rests upon decisions that we must make with each moment. Sometimes, not making a choice is the best we can do. Some situations have to be left to simmer even though our better judgment stretches our resolve painfully to act.

Each of us hangs ten on the course of each day. The waves we ride are the problems we must solve. Wiping out is not an option we entertain easily. The sea of life is crowded and we mostly fail to avert our eyes as those around us fall. We pick out our course and dig in with the edge of our boards, twisting and turning as we try to get to the best part of the wave. On a great day the pipeline folds over us and we become one with the tube. On a bad day the tube collapses and our lives shatter into foamy bubbles. Then, we have no choice but to paddle back out and try again. There are always more waves but some waves come only once in a lifetime. Reality is at its harshest when we see someone go down and never come up again. When our last fall beckons, we will know.

The salt of dried tears is the mortar for rebuilding broken hearts and minds. Let it out dear reader. Let it go. Drown the broken parts of your soul in tears. Life is an ever present wind that will dry everything out. Your character is the long-board. Your drying tears can glue it back together. Wax it well with wisdom.

Never forget that you are never alone. There is much you can learn from just watching everyone else. You can do everything your own way but the world does not move to your wind alone. You are part of the breeze that makes the human race what it is. Your eddy counts but it also affects and is affected by eddies of others. The salt spray, sand, colors, and sounds, are all the muses, hard at play.
