Love is limitless in power. It can forge ahead as cumbersome as war, or creep along as lightly as a wafting dandelion seed. The rewards can be leviathan in scope, or as small and simple as a soft wintery whisper. The universe can be made to shudder violently in the wake of love. Sometimes the only effect is a single hair out of place, or a speck of dust moving in the wrong direction thru a beam of light.

Love announces itself with a silent thunder long before it arrives. Or, it’s born faster than a flash of lightning. You may see it coming or, you may not. Either way you are mostly powerless to thwart its advance to fruition. It has a date with destiny which it has never stood up, no matter what happens.

Love is not bound by the walls of time. It bridges the past, present, and future in ways not easily understood. Understanding love is never a prerequisite. If love could be understood then it would not be needed. If we were all allowed a single emotion to have, what would you choose?

Love is dangerous. It has the capacity to cause pain on scales immeasurable. It can change minds. Even though it endows us with the power to give so much, it also enables us to take away so much more. For every second you give with love you create a lifetime of memories for yourself and others. Break that bond of love and far more than all those memories you’ve created can be destroyed.

Love can build infinite worlds but it can be infinitely destructive as well. Nothing comes close to the feeling of a love collapsing down on you. It can happen in an instant, over a lifetime, across eons, or anywhere in between. Reality seems to fracture as your mind explodes with realization. In the wake of such calamity many synapses cauterize. You may recover, but you will never be the same again.

Love is an indifference to muses. They’ll throw it into any stew of inspirational mix. It’s just another spice to use for them. Its flavor permeates all our lives with anything from the subtlest tinge to undeniably powerful overtones. By their formulations we are unconditionally biased towards love. No wonder it shows up in artistic creations across the board and in infinite variations. It’s a simple thing yet also a nirvana sought after by the human trilogy of the heart, mind, and soul.
