The muses have moved you. You’ve sailed the high seas of imaginative conception. You’ve weathered brainstorms accented by emotional discharges complete with thoughts whose echoes still linger. You’ve lashed rigging with bare hands and greased every pulley with blood. The mental chop is abating along with the creaking from deep within your soul. Muses flit away lightly on the softening breeze. Tomorrow might beckon from beyond the horizon but this is a prime time to look back at what has been created.

You contemplate how to regard your creation. It’s like a kite. You hold the very end of it’s’ string and worry about where the wind will take it if you let go. You might reel it in a bit. You might bring it down all the way. As long as it’s airborne somebody will have something to say about it. Don’t expect rave reviews. Don’t even expect to hear anything at all about this brave new creation of yours. Just nurture that feeling you got when you finally finished it and lofted it up into the air. That’s all you need.

Critics will chime in somewhere along the way to tomorrow. Take the negative with a grain of salt. Take the positive with a half-grain. Those who criticize, good or bad, have their reasons. Such rapports are the brainchildren of other people’s wisdoms. Give them respect while you disseminate each critique into respective memory caches. You might just find some good advice sprinkled in amongst everything.

For now, bask in the warm light of what the muses have sown for you to reap. This is your harvest to share as you want. Spread your table generously beneath the trees. Tap the barrels and uncork the wines. Lift a welcoming glass to everyone. Show off your new kite. It is after all, a part of your soul.
