It’s been awhile since the power has gone out. But Sunday night (well, technically Monday around 12:30 a.m.) the transformer blew next to Jaguar Hall, and we were out of power. We were out of power for about two hours. I know a lot of people are used to always having power here, but where I’m from, I’m used to not having power. So I actually like it because it’s been a while.

The soccer players and I went to the patio and sat with each other. We just sat there and talked and laughed about stupid things, but it was fun. Especially when you have A.B. Campos and Franco Rubio with you, it is quite impossible not to laugh. If those two were to have their own stand-up comedy show, they would make quite a career out of it. You could say that they are the jokesters of the UHV men’s soccer team.

The power came on around 2, but right after that, the fire alarm went off. We had to leave again, and it took 30 to 45 minutes before we were let back in the building. This puts us at close to 3 a.m. on Monday. With students going to sleep this late, I doubt they will be in their early-morning classes. Sorry, professors!!!
