I'm not really one to toot my own horn but I did make a post a bit ago saying that the results of the DNA testing from the "chupacabras" in Cuero would come back with the genus of Canis.

Well, it seems I was right.  Texas State University biologists examined the DNA and found it to be nearly identical to that of a coyote (Canis latrans).  So there ya have it folks - coyote.  Now the next question to be answered is why the hair loss?  Was it from a disease?  Was it a postmortem development?  With three of the coyotes being found in the same area and all looking that way, it was most likely a disease of some sort the poor creatures had.

Anyhow, I bet there will be some who won't let it go.  They don't want the fame, the mystery, the publicity to fade.  Sorry Cuero, you just have a few dead Texas coyotes.
