So, after spending a good amount of time here and there on Yahoo Answers, I've come to a conclusion, especially when it comes to answering questions in relation to science and religion - people aren't looking for an honest answer (a majority of the time). In these instances it appears that the selected "best answers" simply reaffirm the question asker's own stance and they, therefore have no real want of a solid, well reasoned answer or argument at all.

I also have a habit of citing references and the like in my posts and because of this, more than a few times I've been accused of cutting and pasting. I guess it doesn't pay to put a decent amount of thought and effort into answer people's questions there.

It does make for a good amount of frustration. I think I'll leave that site alone from now on.
