This story kind of struck me as odd. Seems as though a Belgian Nun was reprimanded for "wild dancing" as she acrobatically danced with a missionary. She states that normally she wouldn't dance like that, but was carried away by the enthusiasm of the group.

Now I'm the first to admit that I don't know a lot of things. I admit that I really don't know what kind of punishment (if any at all) this merits to our Sister Johanne here. I, who spend my days in an office understand how important it is to represent your clique and always maintain a high degree of intergrity and professionalism.

But let me speak a little bit on the defense of Sister Johanne here because I am sure that many in America may find it a little silly... But we should understand and respect the wishes of her superiors.

Like our nice sister here, I am also 29. I can tell you, as a performer in the rock and roll genre, it is very easy to get carried away with the infectious energy of youth. I can only imagine what it must be like to be among thousands of young people who are truly happy to be inspired. Plus, as a Catholic, you can take into account a very happy crowd as a German Pope makes his homecoming in his first international papal visit, with the Spirit of God thriving alive and well in a crowd of people who most people say is a generation in trouble... Why not dance a little bit?

Hey the holy life is tough, no doubt about it, it takes a very special and determined person to become a nun or a priest, I'm not knocking her order or Mother Superior in any way. But it really is a rare event... Don't make the poor sister sit it out next year.
