For those Crossroads residents who might not have gotten the memo, it's hot. Like, really hot.
And dry, too.
Not news to you, you say? Yeah, I know. But it's still the truth. And some landowners have taken the problem to the man upstairs to bring a bit of moisture our way, via "pray for rain" signs in their yards, at businesses and the like.
I'm working on a photo package for the Farm and Ranch page that compiles all of these shots - and I'm hoping to talk to the landowners about when the signs went up, why the put them up, etc.
But I realized that, while there's only one of me, there are a lot of you guys out there. You might know where more signs are located than I do.
So, how about it? Do you have signs on your property? Or have any caught your eye that you think I should look at?
Feel free to send pictures my way or even just let me know where they're located so I can go out and get some shots myself. I'll be making rounds in the coming days, too, to see if I come across any.
If you have any you think I should look into, don't hesitate to let me know! You can respond here, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 361-580-6511.
Thanks so much - and stay cool out there.
