The debate had it’s usual start Rudy v Mitt, but IMO Rudy lost the battle on the subject of illegal immigration by continuing to use his scripted line “Mitt has a sanctuary mansion”(referencing the illegal immigration that worked on Mitt’s lawn) and, the audience let him have it with a loud chorus of boos.

Mike Huckabee wooed the audience with his charm and folksy manner but the only hard question he had was on the death penalty and “What would Jesus do” to him this was easy as he said “Jesus would be smart enough to stay out of politics”(sic).

I think John McCain won the debate by standing strong on his convictions. I like it when he goes into his “straight talk” mode, sounds authentic. John hit Romney pretty hard for not knowing that “water boarding” is indeed torture. Romney said he had to consult with consultant  Coffer Black (that’s the man that would bring Bin Laden’s head back to the USA packed in ice and once promised to put the heads of terrorist on sticks)Mr. Black works for Blackwater. Romney did not want to answer the water boarding because it was some kind of security secret. What a lame excuse.

Mitt Romney lost the debate in my opinion because he had that “deer in the headlights” look when asked about water boarding and repealing the “Don’t ask don’t tell policy”.

Rudy Giuliani forgot he was at primary debate, because he insured the base that he would not sign a bill banning abortion, waffled on the 2nd amendment, and, and he said he did not take the bible literally. He does hold the lead in Florida.

My man Ron Paul was booed for his anti-Iraq war stance, but he got a chance to tell the people he got the most money from the military. He used that line when John McCain attacked Ron Paul for his stance on Iraq.

This is how Duncan Hunter answered the (Clinton plant) retired General Keith Kerr's question as to why the he thinks American men and women in uniform are not professional enough to serve with gays and lesbians.

Rep. Duncan Hunter of California said: “General, thanks for your service, but I believe in what Colin Powell said when he said that having openly homosexual people serving in the ranks would be bad for unit cohesion.

“The reason for that, even though people point to the Israelis and point to the Brits and point to other people as having homosexuals serve, is that most Americans, most kids who leave that breakfast table and go out and serve in the military and make that corporate decision with their family, most of them are conservatives,” Hunter said.

“They have conservative values, and they have Judeo-Christian values. To force those people to work in a small tight unit with somebody who is openly homosexual goes against what they believe to be their principles, and it is their principles, is I think a disservice to them. I agree with Colin Powell that it would be bad for unit cohesion.”

I guess liberals and Non-Christians never serve in the military.

Tom Tancredo same old illegal immigration rhetoric but he did tell the crown form Florida that sending a man to mars is waste of money.
