• Thanks Vet,I gather you are a big pickup
I know that feeling,I really was uncomfortable driving the Prius until about a year ago...I felt like a pedestrian in the middle of Manhattan,NY,looking up....You have been there, so you know the feeling.
But I do remember the last time I went in that direction(about 3 years ago) about 30,000 Vietnam Vets were attending a reunion in Branson,MO. most on motorcycles...The ones I saw anyway.

  • They have a group of Vietnam Veterans that attend veterans' funerals throughout the country.  That might've been part of them.
Don't know about the era thing, but a motorcycle doesn't have enough wheels on the ground for me, besides that,  you're sitting too close to the ground, too.

  • Thanks Vet ...I saw a lot of motorcyclists on the highway wearing Vietnam Vet jackets...Was there a convention in Tennessee or has that era have a fondness for motorcycles?...I guess like everyone else it's the high gas prices.

  • Hello Mike, glad you and your wife had a great time and made it back safe and sound. I know what you mean about the rest stops.
Got to get one of those GPS things- the old road atlas doesn't help in a downtown area, especially for parking.
    Have a great week,
