  • Some posters are complaining about not being able to discuss illegal immigration without being labeled a racist.
1.They lay the entire blame on the illegal immigrants.  Not once mentioning the companies that hire them.
    2. They do not submit facts, just personal stories.(Always in the worst light possible)
    3. The solutions they propose all favor the companies and are not very practical.
    4. They talk of a takeover of the American southwest, without any basis.
    5. They don't admit that they might be zenophobic.

I agree this is one historic presidential race.  I wish my parents were alive to see it.

  • No matter how we look at this year's elections,  this is going to be an historic time in our nation with a woman and a black man running for president.  Never in my lifetime have I seen anything like this, but I'm sure this may repeat again later on sometime.
From the days that my dad used to talk about paying his poll tax so he could vote until now.  If only he could see this.  During this run for the race I have heard many comments, both racist and anti-female than I have about anything else.  I have heard some diehard Dems saying that if Barack wins the nomination, they will vote for McCain.  I think it's not because of Barack, It's because of the color of his skin that some people think like this.  On the other hand, I've heard some bad comments about Hillary, such as making decisions when she has her "time of the month", etc.
If the people were running were status quo as has always been, there would not be these racist and anti-female comments.  Yes, some of my BFFs are black and Hispanic, but I am honest about it.  I've always been curious about people who start off a sentence by stating, "I'm not racist, but".......
