Ferraro said the same thing about Jesse Jackson in his run for the presidency in '88. It probably didn't get the attention it did like now since we have the internets. Her defense is that she's being attacked because she's white is awfully weak. Even President Reagan, according to a story in the April 15, 1988 story suggested Jesse Jackson doesn' get the tough questions becasue of his race.

Yeah, I know sex sells in this country and people who sit and listen to Spitzer's story and "meeting" his hooker make me wonder what goes through their minds when they listen and watch this story. What is this doing to his family with all this exposure?
But I'm sure with stories like these, the White House is happy. They detract from all the other news such as the White House not releasing the Pentagon report that found no connection between Saddam and Al Qeada or that we're nearing 4,000 dead troops in Iraq.
