  • Sandwichh
I mentioned Warren Buffet & Colin Powell shoring up the economic & foreign policy front.
I really don't think that Powell knew who he was going to pick until McCain chose Palin.

  • You are dead on Ragman (as always) I loved reading the Chicago Sun Times for a week...Progression only views and then I came back home to reality...Republican will drop troops that vote for a Democrat in a heart beat..Colin Powell spoke at the RNC convention ,so now they want to kick him out...lol...Some magazine had Colin Powell depicted as Benedict Arnold in black face....Despicable.

  • I am no fan of Oprah, but she supported Obama for many reasons other than race. She IS in Chicago, in Illinois, most likely more progressive than most and actually knows Obama.
On Powell, you left out the part where he couldn't support the McCain ticket because of Palin. That is the reason many Republicans will not vote for McCain. That is the main reason I won't either.  It was a stupid choice. That, along with the negative campaigning by the RNC is enough to turn anyone away.  Colin Powell is now and has always been a Republican. I don't think Gen Powell is a liar. Well, there was that WMDs thing, but he was lying for Bush, I guess thats OK, with the right.

  • Colin Powell never was a Republican. He was just filling a position for a Rep. pres. And this says nothing about Barack's economic policy, don't know where  you get that.
I listened to a Q and A Powell did. Did not make any sense other than he is doing what Oprah does, voting on race. His excuse was he did not like the name calling. Well, if anyone is not doing name calling in this race it is McCain. He is stopping it. And he is the one not using race against his opponent.
In the end, if you keep up with the people in politics you would have known that Powell was going to endorse Barack. It was no surprise to me. If it was a surprise to anyone then they should pay more attention to what effects their lives instead of a football game.
Sad what our country has turned into.

  • John McCain says Obama is not qualified to be commander in chief...Colin Powell nullifies that.

  • I could care less who Colin Power/Russ Limbaugh or any movie star or any singer, or any politician endorses.  I  think for myself, and I have never known someone that voted for a candidate because of an endorsement.
Oh, sorry I am wrong, I almost forgot about  families that vote based upon the endorsement of the family matriarch or patriarch.
