  • Hell Bighorn
Where did that come from?..Am I being singled out as being bias?...That donkey is a truth in advertising tool..I do not want to decieve anyone...I do not have such an ego, that I cannot admit I am wrong....I have as you put it,been disputed several times by right wings..So,that is factually incorrect..Maybe,I am looking at your statement wrong....I just try to be honest, that means a lot to me.

    September 5, 2008 at 9:21 a.m.

  • Perhaps the reason no "right wingers" dispute your attacks Mike is that they realize your admitted bias and the pointless nature of arguements with you?

    September 4, 2008 at 8:10 p.m.

  • I think you should take a look at this.
I think now it is Palin (since she sent out a letter requesting money, but mentioned her family) and the media that are keeping her 17 year old daughter in the spotlight and I particularly want you to pay attention to the last sentence in this article. I am wondering if the real Sarah Palin will ever stand up and answer questions on her own without a speechwriter or a teleprompter.
I am also wondering how I am going to stay out of this when I am being bombarded 24/7 with Palin. What happened to that dang "liberal media"? Why can't we get them back? Oh, I see. There is no liberal media, right? Now, I have to go over to the regular news comments and comment again for my undecided voters.

  • And one more observation - I think Jamie Lynn Spears was the straw that broke Bill's back - meaning he was so fed-up with Brittany and all her antics (driving with baby in front seat, etc.), and fed up with the Spears Mother who was going to write a book on How to Parent Child Actors (too funny), and then Jamie becoming pregnant. I think Bill had alot of frustration and disappointment with the whole Spears Clan and the media attention they were receiving on a minute-by-minute basis and he saw little redeeming qualities in their behaviors. So, Jamie was the tipping point for Bill. Now, the Spears Clan all enjoy their celebrity status, and with celebrity status you invite praise and criticism. Daughter Pallin is an entirely different scenario, and she deserves to be left alone by the press AND the comedians.

  • You shed a different light and you make some good points....I guess I don't really know the campaign's intentions.

    September 4, 2008 at 4:46 p.m.

  • The boyfriend and Pallin daughter are engaged to be married - so that makes him part of the family. Most normal families include the fiancé in all things family. Families don’t exclude fiancés, and it sounds like the Pallin parents already think of him as their son. Jamie Lynn made no mention of marriage when she announced her pregnancy. She might have mentioned it later (aren’t they now married - or at least living together?) Pointing out Bill's contradictions unfortunately brings unwanted light upon innocent Pallin daughter. And Stewart is not only trying to gig O'Reilly he is also trying to bring unwanted negative commentary upon Pallin Daughter (which is low-down and cruel). There are plenty of other ways to get at Bill O'Reilly - but Stewart wants Pallin family to suffer emotional abuse. Stewart well knows all whom he hurts with his so-called humor

    September 4, 2008 at 4:34 p.m.

  • I have already said  Palin's children should be off-limits,but at the same time, the McCain campaign should not send a plane to Alaska to pick up the boyfriend for a family value image..... Jon Stewart's joke was aimed at Bill O'Reilly..If you feel bad parenting leads to teenage pregnancies then that feeling should apply to the Palins also.
Jon Stewart is a comedian, much like Don Rickles, we know what to expect so we should not get offended if we watch them.  We have a choice.

    September 4, 2008 at 4:14 p.m.

  • The difference is that Jaime Lynn Spears is a public figure, and the Pallin daughter is not.
So, it is quite proper to leave the Pallin daughter alone - and cruel to discuss her at all.
On the other hand, Jaimie Spears holds herself out to be a public role model actress, and that makes her fair game.
John Stewart is no better than O'Reilly - they are both hateful people - However, hateful humor is more hurtful

  • Thanks Vet, but somehow the h in http was left out in your post  but I figured it out...A lot of Jon Stewarts...Great job.

  • Here you go Mike:

    September 4, 2008 at 3:07 p.m.

  • That's a good  article .Pat, I am going to paste it into Word for future reference, not that it would matter...Notice the local right-wingers don't come back and say they're  You mean Palin/McCain McCain,I can't imagine a social conservative being this gushy for John McCain.......

    September 4, 2008 at 1:15 p.m.

  • Dang! Just couldn't resist!
But I truly am tired of talking about McCain/Palin until they both do some "real" interviews without speechwriters and teleprompters.
