  • Bush wouldn't allow dissenters into his own town hall meetings. He had security take them to Free Speech Zones a mile away. Democrats are allowing dissenters into meetings, but they need to dissent according to rules of order. Their behavior suggests they aren't there to ask questions, but to scream at the leadership and not let anyone else speak or listen to what the proposals are. That is suppressing the free speech rights of others.

Here's a flashback for you: FOX news wanted Bushies to tase and "beat to a pulp" anyone that didn't agree with them. Here's the quote: “They should Tase this guy,” Kilmead says. “At one point with security so high and tensions on edge, don’t you think they’re going to get at the very least Tased or beaten to a pulp by somebody? These people look threatening…." Thank goodness Democrats don't think like those idiots on Fox.

BTW, Rush is so stupid (or is he simply a liar?) he couldn't recognize a medical caduceus symbol or tell it from a nazi emblem.

Even Palin has backed off her hyperbole after realizing how absurd it is.

Frankly, I'm tired of the news about insurance CEOs taking home tens of millions in bonuses for managing to deprive insured Americans of healthcare. I'm tired of families going broke and filing for bankruptcy because their insurance wouldn't cover the extraordinary costs. I doubt Jesus would approve.

The US is ranking pretty low in health of its citizens among industrialized nations while paying the highest price for it, and people are dying and going broke for lack of coverage. We can't afford to ignore this problem any longer. It's affecting business development in the US, also. The system has to change.

  • Tea parter's are the same as brown shirts?
It was okay for Hillary to say it is okay to question GW, but now since the messiah is in power it is not.
It was the left that painted nazi on GW and gave him a Hitler mustache and all.

Pot calling the kettle black. Except the tea partyer's are using the facts. Not the thugs of the SEICU. Who is beating down blacks they do not agree with and shutting out citizens? Who buses in people to protest? The left has been doing that for decades. Fact, get you facts right.

You from the extreme left have been hammering the other president for 9 years now. Now it goes the other way, except in a factual manner, it is all not good. Two faces showing.

The dems have been in control of congress for over two years, accept responsiblity for once in you life's.

Get away from the Mainstream media and learn facts.

  • "Adolph Hitler used Nazi Brownshirt member's to disrupt meetings and rallies of their opposition."
If you are going to use an analogy, at least try to do it correctly. Hitler was in power, just like 0bama. The Brownshirts where his thugs, just like the SEIU. Hitler's opposition were analagous to the current protesters because Hitler said they were being "UnGerman" for protesting him just a Pelosi and 0bama have said the protestors are "UnAmerican" for exercising their right to free speech. Seriously, a kindergartener could figure out this analogy. Maybe read a history book every now and then....sheeesh...

  • Mike,
This is a quote from you on November 7, 2008,. This is why democrats are such hypocrites, and believe in big government.

And the point I am trying to make.
    1)We have a congress
    2)We have a Supreme Court
3)Under what statue can he impose this?
Campaign rhetoric is like the laundry lists of promises made at the State of the Union..The legislators stand up and cheer what they like to hear and forget about it the next day...The president said at the last State of the Union "We are addicted to oil." cheers all around ;next day we resumed importing our oil.
A good place to start is the Constitution where it spells out the powers of a US president..He can't just randomly mandate a proposal.
Right now we have a financial crisis because of uncertainty and a lack of consumer confidence and Barack Obama made several proposals to jump start this ailing economy..This should have been done September 12,2001 asking our citizens to sacrifice ,contribute and come together not "go shopping."

  • I know that's right.

Call him what you want, a criminal, a liar, tricky dick, but Nixon ran for re-election by saying he would end the Vietnam war, and he did end it before he resigned, what other president has followed thru on the most pressing issue to voters and has actually followed thru on the promise?

  • You’re right about one thing all of the Jane Fonda’s of 60’s are now democrats and have parked their butts in congress. I just know why all of those ole hippies didn’t die off. Ding the luck..

  • Well of course Alton, who would argue with a health insurance plan that only costs roughly 20% of the premium and is more or less a gold plated plan, not all federal employees that's for sure.

    August 8, 2009 at 3:55 p.m.

  • I have heard President Obama state that individuals will still be allowed to keep their present insurance plans. But let us be realistic, the government plan is going to cost employeers less, so private insurance will disappear rather quickly. I oppose the government's grab for power. This program will be directly or in-directly under the control of the President. And it calls for a national ID card. Of course the card is called a National Healthcare ID card. Guess that makes all the difference.

This program does not appear to be revenue neutral. It is going to cost more.

I know many left-wing liberals do not like wealthy people. But we would not be having this conversation today, without Bill Gates. I do not believe he should be force into a healthcare plan or anyone else that wants to pay as they go.

Oh, I almost forgot, the plan is so good Congress is exempt from the legislation.

  • Obama uses goons from the Service Employee's Union to bust up people protesting nationalized health - and the difference is???

    August 8, 2009 at 3:10 p.m.

  • Rush Limbaugh is just a talking head, that is all, he is no more relevant to politics than any other actor, actress or media member that espouses there beliefs in public.

Much like Jane Fonda in the 60's protesting the Vietnam war. Only she and the other anti-war demonstrators where protesting against the democratic party s war policies. (Kennedy and Johnson)

    August 8, 2009 at 3:02 p.m.

  • Adolph Hitler used Nazi Brownshirt member's to disrupt meetings and rallies of their opposition. Their tactics are well documented and the TEA bagger's are reminiscent of that era. Strange that someone like Rush Limbaugh would invoke Nazi's and Adolph Hitler in his rambling radio show when the evidence is it is he who is acting like a Nazi.

  • Scared of law no. Scared of Democratic law, yes..

    Remember Holder is Ob's boy...

    August 8, 2009 at 1:46 p.m.

  • I cannot help with reading comprehension or paranoia.

Right-wing blogs and comments outnumber those on the left, in this city, state, and county so free speech should not be a problem.

If the president is violation of any law, then by all means "charge him."..Good luck:-)

    1. First you were scared of HR 45
    2. Then you were scared of Home Land Security
    3. Now you are scared of an e-mail

You have a good one but I am going to enjoy the rest of my week end and hope you do as well.

    I am not scared...Boo:-)

    August 8, 2009 at 1:41 p.m.

  • So basically you’re implying that we do not have a fair right to free speech, and shut the hell up if we cannot provide you with facts.

You and the President need take a look at 5CFR & Public Law 93-579, 5 U.S.C 522.. The President and his (FISHY) e-mail maybe in violation of federal law. The Government cannot intimidate free speech.
