Afghanistan will drag on for years to come. It does not matter how many troops you send. Folks just don't get it, Wahhabi Islam, Taliban, Al Qauida, extreme Shia and Sunni all are the same in many respects. Attempting to negotiate with these folks is equal to attempting to convince a Catholic, Mary was not a Virgin or Jesus is not the Messiah.

(3) after January 20, in February (15), and so far in March (13) .As we send more troops, we will have more causalities The media has covered the war, because as I said it is the Afghanistan/Pakistan war .The armed aerial drones fired inside Pakistan have drawn a lot of attention As our troop level increases, the media will follow .The title cover of Newsweek about a month ago was titled Afghanistan: Obamas Vietnam. ..Dan Rather (HDTV) featured a documentary showing the situation inside Afghanistan/Pakistan today .It showed why no one can win a war there A U.S. soldier (carrying 60 lbs of equipment) takes about an hour and 30 minutes to reach the summit of a mountain; whereas a Afghan fighter wearing tennis shoes will do that height in 45 minutes and just ambush our troops Thats the reason we need helicopter cover on just about every mission .
Mike The liberal media is placing little importance on the war in Afganistan. Since Pres Obama has taken office, there have been few, if any, reports of casualties among U.S. Troops. I don't believe they want to talk about it anymore.
