After reading the new rules for blogging and commenting at the VA forum, I decided that I wasn't going to go through all the trouble of opening up a Facebook account just to comment and blog. I didn't think it was important enough for keeping up with my family, and that takes a priority. I certainty am not going to submit a fake profile. I know for some it's just a matter of filling in the information required and submitting but it's also a matter of preference. I'm not going to go on and on about my security because I was never threatened nor expected to be and besides I always considered the source but hen again, it doesn't really matter what my reasons are.

I do appreciate the opportunity that I was given to state my opinion via blogs and comments over the past five are six years. I really enjoyed the interaction I received and the good days far outweighed the bad ones. I would have liked to extended personal thanks to the many I have engaged with and especially those who took the time to read my blogs but with my memory, I might have left out someone and that would have made me feel bad. It doesn't have to end, just email me and I will give you the new contact information. I also would like to wish the Victoria Advocate all the success with their new venture. I don't know how many times I will post at Vic Ad before the new Facebook era begins but I will start weaning myself, starting today.

I would be lying if I said I was not going to miss it, especially the discussions with my on- line friends but life goes on and who knows what life will bring tomorrow, but I know I won't be opening a Facebook account anytime soon.

Good luck Vic Ad, and thanks again for the opportunity to state my views and for the great relationship we’ve had during the last five or six years.

All good things come to an end.

Happy Fathers Day to everyone.
