First off, let's hear it for alliteration. It's not easy finding that many words that began with the "P" sound.

And second, it's sad but true, my friends. The next installment of the "Harry Potter" movie franchise has been pushed back a whooping eight months. Originally set to release this November, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" is now set for release in July 2009.

Naturally, with these movies garnering more hard core fans than Harry can shake a wand at, people are a bit peeved. According to a blog on Wired, fans are taking it to the Internet, signing digital petitions, organizing studio boycotts and letting the movie producers know they think they are nothing but lowly muggles.

It seems they are especially mad at the reason why the movie was postponed, which is, and I quote "We want more money."

Okay, that's not the actual quote of why the studio decided to push back the movie but it's close. Basically, they believe they can make a bigger profit by releasing the movie during the summer months.

Being a hardcore Potter fan myself (or perhaps more accurately, a hardcore fan of Daniel Radcliffe and his "milk does a body good" physique...I know, I know, I'm a dirty old woman) I think this is a low blow by Warner Bros. Give us our Harry Potter, you money-grubbing dolts.

Regardless of when the movie is released, it's going to make the studio approximately nine bah-jillion dollars so why bother torturing us by making us wait an additional eight months? I promise, if you guys release the movie in November, I will personally go see it five times...seven if there is a scene where Radcliffe takes his shirt off.
