Happy Halloween, everybody! In honor of this festive, sugar-laced holiday, I wanted to share with you a Web site that was passed onto me from my good friend Terry (thanks, Terry...you are a scholar and a gentleman, despite what is written on bathroom walls throughout the region).

Being a huge fan of really bad movies (and I mean bad not in the 1980's good sense), http://www.badmovies.org/ is a God send. Even if you think you have extensive knowledge of bad movies, this Web site has movies that will blow your mind.

For instance, one of the first movies listed on the home page is "Please Don't Eat My Mother," which is about a 40-year-old man living at home with his mother who accidentally grows a talking man-eating plant.

One word. Two syllables. Awesome.

Not to mention, it also lists a little-known Chuck Norris movie. Now being a fan of the Chuckster myself, this in my eyes lends the Web site total street cred. (Gratuitous Chuck Norris joke: The only person who can kill Chuck Norris...is Chuck Norris).

So, if you're looking for some Halloween fun today, go to the Web site and check out some ridiculously bad movies. Hey, it beats sitting around waiting for trick-or-treaters.

P.S. On a side note, National Novel Writing Month kicks off tonight at midnight. Let the games begin!

  • Bloodsucking Freaks is a classic.  I was suprised to see Six-String Samurai on the list.  That's an awesome movie and has a great soundtrack.

  • Am I the only one who's ever seen "Bloodsucking Freaks"? Anyone?

  • I'll have to check it out and see if "I Drink Your Blood" is on there. It is by far my favorite hippies-take-bad-acid-and-go-cannibal movies ever made (Beaches is a close second in the genre). "Motel Hell" is also worth a watch if you like old men that wear pig head and make people sausage.

  • Waaaait a minute. Why does everyone continue to call "Cannibal the Musical" a  bad move? It's a cinematic masterpiece folks. An epic tale of Old West adventure.

  • I love that site. My brother sent it to me a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for something to top Biker Chics in Zombie Town or whatever the heck it was called. There's another site he sent me but I can't remember the name of it. It wasn't as good as this one though. Woo hoo for bad movies!
as a side note, no bad movie can ever be as awesome as Cannibal the Musical. Best. Bad. Movie. Ever.
