Long before Edward and Bella became the reigning king and queen of forbidden love, it was another vampire/mortal couple that stole the hearts of the world. Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her love for the vampire with a soul, Angel, was the original tortured couple who just couldn't manage to stay away from each other, even though there was a good chance one of them might get hungry and eat the other (ah, that's amore).
Naturally, this begs the ultimate question. Who would win in a fight between Angel and Edward?
MTV News posed that very same question to "Buffy" creator Joss Whedon at the 2009 Comic Con. The answer? Well, check out the video below.
Personally, I think Buffy would take them all out in one fell swoop before their teeth were even bared. But then again, I'm a die-hard fan of the Buffy-verse and have been for many, many years (I even named my male dog Buffy, gender confusion be darned).

I don't know. Edward is fast but I think Angel is stronger. I think it is best to ask Buffy. Whoever can defeat Buffy wins this poll.
