His name isn't Jenny but if you dial 867-5309 in New Jersey, you will get ahold of Spencer Potter. And if you can beat the latest bid on eBay, those famous seven digits could be yours.

Yes, according to CNN.com, it seems the 28-year-old Spencer is selling his phone number and already it has garnered over $5,000 in bids. Of course, unless you've been living under a rock since the 70's, 867-5309 was made famous in the 1982 song by Tommy Tutone (it's running through your head right now, isn't it?).

Although it's no longer a top 10 hit song, the song is now most famous as the fake number girls give to unwitting fellas hitting on them (just ask my good friend Scott, who was once given this number by a Hooters waitress...and he actually called it before realizing he was duped).

While many area codes have an 867-5309 number (the song's running through your head again, isn't it?), Potter said he still gets tons of calls by curious people, 80's pop culture fanatics and guys who were duped by Hooters waitresses. In fact, he gets about 40 a day.

And although EBay halted a similar auction in 2004 by the person with the 212 area code, Potter got around this by selling his DJ business along with the number. According to the story, Vonage, which owns the number, gave him permission to transfer it as part of the sale of his business

"This is really, in my opinion, one of the last cultural remnants of the '80s pop culture era ... other than the mullet," Potter said in the story.

So if you just can't get enough of 80's one-hit wonders and feel the need to be a DJ in the lovely Weehawken area, put up your bid now. And just remember, for a good time, for a good time, CAAAAALLLLL!! (Ha! It's going through your head again!).
