Well, darn it all. Who would of thought that a teen trying to combat casual cussing would cause such frickin' violent reactions?

Meet McKay Hatch. While in the eighth grade he started a No Cussing Club that has now expanded into a Web site with members from all 50 states and 30 countries, according to CNN. And just what did this young entrepreneur get for his trouble?

Death threats and prostitutes sent to his house.

What the (bleep)?

However, now 16, Hatch is taking it all in stride and continuing his efforts to clean up the American lexicon with his Web site http://www.nocussing.com/

"At first I was actually pretty scared because they said, 'I know where you live.' Our address was posted online on a really big Web site and at first I was scared," he said. "But like I said, these are bullies and they wanted me to be scared and I wasn't going to let them win."

Now I don't know what kind of person would be so angry at a kid trying to stop other kids from cussing, but I have sneaking suspicion they probably need to get a life. While I have been known to have quite the sailor mouth myself during times of distress and enjoy colorful language from time to time, starting a movement to stop foul language is hardly cause for violent threats and hooker hijinx.

In fact, I think the kid should be commended. At least he's doing something productive. As long as he isn't lobbying Congress to further impede on our right to free speech, I say keep on keeping on, Hatch.
