Twilight mania hits Victoria

My addiction to Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series is well known. Pathetic? Perhaps, considering I am 27. But then again, vampires rule so [insert "sticking out tongue" face here].

Luckily I am not the only one and Victoria's very own Hastings understands that. That's why they're holding a Vampire Prom from twilight to midnight Friday in honor of the release of the "Twilight" movie.

I wrote an article about this a few weeks back but just wanted to remind everyone and let you in on some new details about the event, courtesy of Vicki and Bobby at Hastings.

According to Vicki:

"The blood-bank van will be here taking blood. We still have the music and dancing. But we will also have some gambling tables (Texas hold'em for sure). A small donation will give the guests poker chips. Prizes will be given to those who win at the tables!

We will also have trivia and prizes to be given for correct answers also - and a little scavenger hunt to get it started. We will be doing prom pictures again this year. A prom picture can be taken for a $2.00 donation to the literacy fund. There will also be refreshments!"

And of course, what would any Vampire Prom be without a King and Queen? There will be a costume contest (prom attire, vampire costumes, character costumes) and whoever has the best one will be voted King and Queen and receive a free copy of the movie.

Considering my wicked mad judging skills, yours truly is going to be one of the judges (and no, I am not above taking bribes so...hint, hint).
 
So check it out if you can. It should be a bloody good time (oh, come on...I resisted vampire puns for as long as I could).
