When someone in the news makes the world long for the days of the Octomom scandal, it's time to take your 15 minutes of fame and go far away. FAR away.

Now, I've been trying to ignore this whole "Carrie Prejean beauty queen opposed to gay marriage but poses topless and almost gets her crown taken away until the Donald steps in with his horrible hair piece to save the day" ordeal. It's gotten ridiculous and exceedingly annoying.

But people just won't let it go.

According to the LA Times, the latest bombshell in the story is that Prejean is blaming the wind for those topless photos that caused an Internet uproar. I'm not proud to admit this, but I've seen those photos. Don't look very windy to me that day.

But I digress.

Truth be told, I don't care what Prejean thinks about gay marriage. In fact, I don't care what she thinks about anything. I don't care that she posed topless or had cosmetic surgery.

I don't care about her. Period.

But I do care that she is still getting so much attention. And as such, is detracting away from, oh-I-don't-know, the actual winner of the Miss USA pageant. Can you name the winner? What she looks like or stands for?

Probably not because all we've heard about for the past few weeks are the petty problems some blonde beauty pageant contestant has and everyone and their brother in Hollywood feels the need to weigh in on it.

So Ms. Prejean, with all do respect, stop. Just stop. I fully realize you are allowed to express your opinion and I am all about free speech. But this stopped being about free speech a long time ago. In fact, it stopped being about gay marriage a long time ago. So take your perfect veneers, dyed hair, overly tanned body and well paid for chest, and find something productive to do.

Hand the limelight over to someone who deserves it.
