Now this is either one of the most brilliant inventions of our time, or the stupidest thing I have ever heard of.

I'm still deciding.

It seems those crazy Japanese are up to their usual tricks again and this time they are taking on the toilet paper industry. It's a well known fact that many people like to read in the loo. Grabbing a newspaper, book or magazine on the way to the bathroom is the international sign that you've got some business to do and are not to be disturbed.

Well, now those crazy Japanese have made the process even easier. They have come up with toilet paper that has...(wait for it)...a horror story printed right on it.

Yes, for only a few dollars, you can buy toilet paper that has a new nine-chapter novella written by Koji Suzuki, the Japanese author of the horror story "Ring" (yup, that "Ring" as in the movie with the ridiculously creepy kid popping up out of a TV).

And the best part? The company is touting it as a way to "have a horror experience in the toilet."

Funny, I thought a dinner at Weinerschnitzel did the same thing (BAH-Zing!).

But seriously, folks, who am I to judge? It could turn out that a decade from now, we can't even remember a time when we didn't have books printed on our TP.

"Man, remember when toilet paper was just white?"

"Oh yeah...how did we ever manage back then? Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to read the new exclusive Charmin novella."

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

  • April, you have picked a great title. I don't know anyone that could pass up reading a blog with a title like that.

Don't you just wonder if it is rough?

  • Just goes to show what the Japanese think of some of their Novelists!
The "Novelas"-are these ones that couldn't sell in the bookstore- must have been a "CRAPPY" novel!(Someone had to say it!).
Now talk about someone"stalling in the stall!"

  • Grifter - if you did that you would confuse to many Aggies.

That would be like writing "turn over" on both sides of a piece of paper. Aggies have fun with that one too!

  • Couldn't they just write... (Use with this side up) on both sides?
