It seems there are only two reactions to the long (very long...very, very long...Odysseus' journey home long) awaited wedding of "The Office" couple Jim and Pam.
Basically, either you loved it or you wanted to poke your eyeballs out.
Personally, I'm the former (and pretty partial to my eyeballs, regardless of bad TV writing). In fact, I'm sad to say that I was a horrific stereotype of my gender and teared up. A lot. And then looked over at my fiance lovingly and said "Jim just set the bar. Good luck."
With this being one of the most beloved of TV's couples (well, at least for us "Office" fans), we expected a lot. And the network built up a lot (a very lot...a very, very lot...the population of mosquitoes in South Texas a lot) of hype surrounding this wedding.
Now normally, that's a recipe for ultimate letdown (the end of "The Sopranos" kind of letdown). But the TV writers pulled it off, in my opinion.
I present to you Exhibit A:
I particularly love that the audience isn't privy to Jim and Pam's vows to each other. It makes it a very private moment but one that we at least get to view from afar (and an ingenious idea by the writers to avoid having to live up to that expectation of what they would say).
I think it's better this way, not knowing. Not to mention, Jim's face at the end, when he is looking over Pam's head directly at the camera, says more than any lousy words could.
Any other "Office" fans out there? What did you think?

I agree with Gabe! And the camera thing that Pam kept doing was even MORE cheesy!

October 9, 2009 at 3:26 p.m.BREAKING NEWS! Reporter Gabe Semenza has a gaping hole in his chest and said Jim's look at the end of the episode was cheesy. Please pray for his soul.
October 9, 2009 at 3:23 p.m.OK I will admit it. I had tears, too. It was the look on their faces on the boat as they married each other. So private and happy. I know its a show, but it really was done well. And then the
