Sorry, I just couldn't resist using that title. One, it's fun-nay. And two, it's the tagline for the new...wait for it...chupacabra exhibit at a New York museum.

Yes folks, them dang Yankees have finally caught on to chupie-mania. According to John Adolfi, the curator of the Lost World Museum, the museum has acquired the Blanco, Texas chupacabra and is putting it on display along with 45 pictures of living and dead chupacabras.

"Chupacabras have long been thought of by U.S. scientists as a mythical beast, but are feared in Latin America for their taste for any small animal," Adolfi said in a news release.

Stupid Yankees (current bloggers excluded). We could have told them that already. And we don't need no stinkin' exhibit to show us the chupacabra. Shoot, here at the paper we get letters and photos sent in all the time of chupacabras (or coyotes with mange...I'll let you guys hash that one out).

But the good news is that Texas may have just found a new source of tourism.

New Texas state motto: "Come for the chupacabras, stay for the barbecue!"

The exhibit will be open throughout October.

I gotta laugh though,,, my sides still hurt. We love the publicity! Yay!
For a reporter you are a great entertaining writer my friend! Keep up the great work!

As for my goat, the grass got too high and he ate himself to death. A chupacabra carried off the corpse so now there's nothing to BBQ. Thank God for HEB!
