Believe it or not, most women aren't a size 2.

Well, no duh. Of course you already know that. In fact, the most popular American dress size for women is actually a size 14. But looking through any of the top fashion and beauty magazines, there is very little evidence that women eat anything other than carrots and Evian. Page after page has lithe models who look like they've never even heard of a Twinkie before in their life, let alone eaten one.

But now Glamour magazine is trying to change all that with its "Bodies are Beautiful at Every Size campaign, which the magazine is hailing as a body image revolution.

According to the Glamour article linked above, it started with their September issue, in which a plus-sized model was photographed au naturel, with even, GASP! a little belly hanging over. (Although the article does add that even today's "plus-sized" models" aren't really that plus, with even a size 12 being considered plus).

The response to the photo was so overwhelming, that the magazine decided to get its readers involved in the dialogue, from top designers not making clothes over a size 10 to runaway sample sizes now being too small even for thin models to women finally getting fed up with a decade-long inundation of skinny images as the norm.

So if you're fed up and have something to say, head over to Glamour.com and voice your opinion.
