Riverside Stadium will play host to a warm-up game between Corpus Christi Carroll and San Antonio Churchill on Saturday. Carroll, which is ranked No. 9 in Class 5A, leads District 27-5A with a 12-1 record after beating Corpus Christi King 6-4 on Friday. The Mustangs' loss drops them to 6-7 in district. Memorial's 2-1 win over Converse Judson has the Vipers in a tie for third with the Rockets with both teams at 8-5, while Converse Wagner is in fourth with a 7-6 record. I was told the Carroll-Churchill game starts at 1 p.m., but the Corpus Christi Caller-Times has the first pitch to be thrown at 6 p.m. Not sure which is right, but it should be a good game to catch if you're looking to catch some good high school ball.
