And now we're down to one.
Hallettsville is the only Advocate-area softball team still playing after beating Danbury 2-1 in a Class 2A regional semifinal series this weekend.
Industrial lost on Friday to Poth in a one-game playoff, while Woodsboro was swept in a best-of-three series against Iola.
The Lady Brahmas, down 1-0 in their Class 2A regional semifinals best-of-three series against Danbury after losing 8-7 on Friday, bounced back to take two games on Saturday. The Lady Brahmas won Game 2 of the series 5-3 and then advanced with a 3-2 10-inning win over the No. 2-ranked Lady Panthers.
Hallettsville (27-7) will play Poth in the regional finals. The Pirettes (26-6) eliminated Industrial with a 4-0 win on Friday. A win over Poth would send the Lady Brahmas to Austin in two weeks for the state tournament.

Yeah Wes .. But how about the accident that happened last night to one of the boys players who lost 13 to 3 and got killed last night... Two of the star girls who play on that Lady's team were with them.. As i heard it they are devastated ... Hope thy can cope and get a handle on the loss.. Now that was awful ... Show strength girls, we are behind you and i truly hope you can overcome such a horror.
