Gary, human beings are equipped by evolution to be pattern seeking animals. We are always evaluating the information we receive to discern patterns and what those patterns mean--is the rustling grass, something to eat? A predator? Or a potential mate? In the primitive past such information was vital to survival. We continue do the same thing in every situation we find ourselves in--evaluate looking for patterns that might give us insight and information. Add to this a confirmation bias--to remember those outcomes and patterns that accord with our already established beliefs and experiences--and we have an entirely natural explanation to your story. This "man sent from God" only remembers and reports the information that confirms his belief ""...that Lord ALWAYS warns a man (young or old) before it comes his time to die, that individual may choose to ignore it or not but still the warning is by a still small voice.""

The LORD must have hired a PR agent then, because he used to warn people very loudly regarding their impending doom. Kudos to him for moving with the times - we need progressive deities.

About a yr ago there was a story in the Vicad about a man who was about to turn 40, he was having breakfast at his parents near the Gulf not far from Victoria. He & his son had planed a fishing trip right after breakfast. During breakfast the mother said to her son; son you are almost 40 yrs old dont you think its time to get your life in order? He said mom I dont belive I will see my 40th birthday.

He & his son finished eating & got in there boat, shortly there after the man drowned & his son didnt & was able to relate the details of the tragedy.

I now ask you to council me by telling me what conclusions I should draw from this event, should I just dismiss this case as just a bunch of hapen stances & coincedences?

This blog reads like a good example of the blind leading the blind. One extremist to another, one a believer, the other a non-believer--which is to believe in something other than a divine being. Meanwhile, non-extremist believers in One God and Jesus as their Lord and Savior have on occasion seen a real miracle, which is documented by one, not three doctors (not always Catholic) who have reviewed full medical histories of these folks to make sure there is no other explanation for a sudden return to normal health. See, they, like non-extremist believers in either camp, know that a combination of reason plus Faith holds real miraculous healing in such respect that they would not just accept the word of people who jump up out of wheelchairs night after night. There are other explanations for that phenomenon.

Gary, the only difference between your church, the Catholic church, TV charlatans and all other religions is window dressing. They are all based on the delusion that a god or gods exist. They are all spiritual Disneylands with different decorations and culturally contextual rides. They are all based on the baseless, the unprovable and the reasonless.

If you send enough money to the Vatican you can also get out of purgatory sooner & even get your marriage dissolved so you can get a new spouse. What a deal!!

Now I dont support most any of these TV healers. But prayer cloths are takin from Pauls time, & there is a truth to it, just because so many of these modern day carnal impersonators make merchandise of the Gospel doesn't mean that the real thing does not exist.

Remember the fact that there are counterfeit $50 dollar bills floating around on TV & else where, only proves that there is a true $50 dollar bill so that a copy could be made.

The Bible says that in the last days the deception would be so close that even the very elect would be deceived if it were possible, but the elect wont be deceived because they stay with the Word.

Borg, may I ask what type of church you used to attend? May I say that if your former place of worship did not produce what the Bible calls for then dont dismiss Christ but rather find a new church that does line up to Christ. You might say Mr White I cant find any, Well said, the Scriptures say that there shall be a falling away from the true faith & also in the last days there will be a famine, not of bread & water, not of churches, religions etc, but of hearing the Word. Now welcome to reality.

It shall be light about the evening time the path to Glory you shall surely find in the water way is the Light today buried in precious Name Of Jesus Christ. Young & old repent of all your sins the Holy Ghost will surely enter in, it is a fact that God & Christ are one.

Sir Borg, these things are hidden from the wise & prudent, but revealed unto babes, such as will learn.

The Bible teaches that in the end the denominational churches (ecumenical World Council Of Churches) will unite & one thing they will do is put what we call a squeeze on the true believer, at which time those believers will produce a short but powerful demonstration of power & then the rapture.

The Christians that are left that dont have the sealing of the Holy spirit (foolish virgins) will be left behind, they wont sell there soul out to the Antichrist & will be imprisoned & murdered (martyred) for refusing to be a team player with the uniting of church & state & its policies & vision for world peace.

Gary, I don't know what Church you go to or what planet it is on, but I spent 40+ years with the right crowd, humbly seeking god etc--and I never saw or experienced anything that I would consider a Biblical Miracle. I saw some good outcomes that were coincidental to prayer, but no actual supernatural "one day someone is deathly ill then the next day they were completely healed" type experiences.

Then not long after that I got my head on straight and saw reality for what it is--natural, not supernatural.

Why doesn't God make the quadriplegic and paraplegic get up out of their wheel chairs and walk? My dear freind I can produce volumes of these very things hapening night after night before 1000s of people in Houston Tx & arround the world for 33 yrs, from the 40s - 60s. Like the Scriptures say these things were not done in a corner.

These miracles are very much common place amongst the Bride of Jesus Christ today. The fact that they are not being performed before the publics eye as much as they used to does not mean they dont exist.

Change your circle of freinds, & get with the right crowd & you will begin to see what I am talking about. God hides Himself from the wise & prudent but reveals Himself to babes such as will learn. If you want to find God we have got to see how little we can make ourselves, we have to become like little children, & humble our selves.

Jesus says that his disciple will do greater things than he did...but they don't because they can't, because god does not exist.

One more thing in reguards to your cartoon. I like you can rejoice with some of sciences achivement as you have depicted. What good is the ability to walk with the aid of artificial legs & yet in the end having to stand before the Lord in judgement & being ashamed.

It is a far geater miracle when the Lord who is the great physician is allowed to change a mans heart, soul & sprit from a coyotes nature to that of a lamb.

I am way worse. (just kidding). The day that Pres Bush told Irack to get out of Kwait, was the day my second son was born. My wife was strugling to give birth, the docter said the childs head is turned & we couldnt go any futher with the birth, My wife turned to me said Gary please PRAY that the boys head would turn, she was desperate & in pain. How I remember the look of pain & discomfort on her face. We reverently bowed our heads & sincerely approached our Lord, asking God to intervene & turn the boys head. IMEDEATLY THE UNBORN CHILD MOVED HIS HEAD & it was all over in a few minutes.

I often refere to my son Joseph as the man child that has been obedient from the womb & a beliver in whom there is no guile.

A man ounce said that he did not belive in Divine healing, he was told; you just havent got sick enough yet.

I know of many true accounts of eyes being re formed in there sockets & of limbs growing to match the other limb. I know these people personaly that have witnessed it. Also before the rapture takes place the Bride will have the same spoken Word power that Adam had in the garden.

God clowns arround for no one, He didnt clown arround for Pontious Pilot when he wanted to see a miracle, nor the mockers at His cross who said come down off that cross & we will belive you. He did not clown arround for the devil when he challenged him to do a miracle while tempting him during His 40 day fast. He did not respond when the Roman soldiers blind folded Him & smote Him & then said tell us which one hit you. The Jews seek a sighn the Greeks wisdom but no sighn shall be given unto them other than when Jonah was in the beley of the fish for 3 days. Jesus was foretelling them of his death for 3 days & His resurection. It went as far over there heads as the space shutle flies over the earth. You & your mary little band of unbelivers will & are suffering there same fate, because of your attitude & approach.

"This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

You don't seem to share this desire. Perhaps with your attitude, if your god exists YOU might be the one surprised on when YOU meet your Lord?
