Well night before last me and my best friend went to Red Lobster to eat. We went about 8 pm on a Friday night. Of course I should have realized that that would have been a very busy time for them, but true to form I told her well It shouldn't be that bad. And of course I was (as I am many times)wrong. The waiting line was about an hour, not to bad Let's go in the bar and have a Lobsterite I said. Well of course one leads to two but the conversation was good and the time passed quickly. We ordered a appetizer but It didn't make it out before we were called for our table. Finally seated, we waited another 15 mins for our waiter to appear(who we found out was new and didn't know the menu very well) We already had drinks but we informed him we were waiting on our appetizer which we had already paid for and he would have to retrieve it from the bar. Needless to say it got lost for awhile and finally showed up just before the meal came out.(but what the heck, lobster mushrooms are good anytime.) Well we finally got to order, My best friend had the Lobster (of course, It’s lobster fest) and fried shrimp and I had the lobster and shrimp and steak. (I thought). When it arrived, which wasn't really that long a wait(another lobsterite please) it was a sight to behold, Best friend's had a lovely lobster with golden fried shrimp piled high. And mine a nice 8 oz steak with shrimp and a baked potato, Great! except where is the lobster? (new waiter,"duh I don't know let me ask") . Come to find out there was a small amount of shredded lobster meat in a sauce on the plate under the shrimp. But being the nice guy that I am ,I don't make a big deal out of it . I just eat it . And I must say it was delicious,(though I do wish I had more lobster),. But we cleaned our plate(no doggie bags here) and really enjoyed it.

If I had to rate Red Lobster(which I will of course) I would give it a B- or 3 stars*** or a Hey that there was good vittles. The food was excellent and the (hic-up) drinks were great, But even though they were busy I would have to find fault with the service. The waiter didn't seem the least interested. He just wanted the order and when I ask a question about the size of the steak ,his reply was I don't know, I have never ordered one, it will be new to me too.(now that a good one). Also I requested steak sauce and got it at the end of the meal. Needless to say I did reflect his lack of knowledge and service in my tip. (naw I didn't stiff him too bad, but it would have been more.)

But over all we enjoyed ourselves and will be back for the next lobster fest, Keep one ready for us. So till next time I hope you have Good eats.

  • I miss the Delta Seared Shrimp.  It was my favorite.  The crispy little broccoli florets and the honey mustard...  My kids love Red Lobster!  They haven't tried the Lobsteritas, though. ;)
